We have all heard how adaptability and agility is important in the future of work. In our conversations with leaders, we all agree, that hybrid setting is here to stay.
What is hybrid setting anyway?
Hybrid setting is not only creating a hybrid work model but rather bringing this in all areas of life and work.
It is more of reinventing our business and the way we live and work. An opportunity to balance the on-site and remote work by leveraging on technology.
This opens up opportunities to innovate and look into regulations, to make hybrid work for people and organizations.
Hybrid work is nothing new, some organizations do this even before the pandemic. I run my business for the last 8 years in this way. My sister who is an engineer working in a MNC has been doing this for years as well.
Why is hybrid work important?
Gartner research shows that 83% of enterprises expect that demand from customers for digital products and services will increase
According to Gartner, “where and when work gets done will be determined by what makes the most sense to drive the highest levels of productivity and engagement.”
"Forty-two percent of current remote workers say if their current company does not continue to offer remote work options long term, they will look for a job at a company that does." Pulse of the American Worker survey
Based on above statistics, hybrid setting is a must and it is beneficial for the following reasons:
Human-centricity as it encourages what works for both employees and customers. Having flexibility on schedules, locations and modalities.
Better work-life balance due to control and flexibility on work schedule. Ability to crop their lives especially for hands on mommies like me.
Hire talent across the globe and keep talents who prefers flexibility. The first three helps to increase productivity and engagement .
Reduce exposure to illness as hybrid work lowers risks related to health and safety
Save on expenses - due to downsizing on real estate and utility bills for companies. While employees save on food and transportation costs
