This course is suitable for planners, schedulers, cost engineers, contract administrators, project managers, project control professionals and all those professionals who are associated with project planning and scheduling.

Program Overview

This course will provide attendees with coverage of Advanced Planning and Scheduling concepts combined with practical exercises. The course can also be used as preparation to become a certified Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) with AACE International. A PSP is a skilled planning and scheduling professional with advanced experience in project planning, and developing, monitoring, updating, forecasting and analyzing integrated project schedules. The PSP leads the planning and scheduling process within the AACE International Total Cost Management (TCM) framework.

 

Learning Outcomes:

  • Awareness of the Knowledge and Skills required of a Planning and Scheduling Professional

  • An appreciation of the inputs, considerations and constraints in developing a project plan

  • An awareness of planning outputs and deliverables

About the Expert

Laurie Bowman, passionate about creating and protecting value through project planning, risk management and control.

 

He has over 30 years of experience in engineering and management on complex multidiscipline engineering projects around the world. He has a masters in commercial law and has been awarded as an engineering executive, fellow and chartered engineer.

 

He is an accredited trainer with Synchrony Projects and is actively involved with a variety of professional associations, Standards Australia and ISO in developing standards for project, program and portfolio management.
